An Apology

Looking back at my (very few) entries of 2012, I feel I should apologise for my lack of effort. I've noticed a trend; I say that I will post more frequently, then I don't. Perhaps if I were to say nothing I may have actually kept this up to date?

Either way, it has been a pretty busy end of the year, and I've only just managed to get the internet installed to tell you about it.

Firstly, Happy New Year!

I'm pleased to say that my 2012 New Years Resolution was successfully achieved; I moved out of my parents in November and bought a beautiful apartment in Cheltenham with my boyfriend. (On the other hand, my 2013 resolution has already failed; a 'dry January' plan was scuppered by a cocktail or two after 17 days.. Willpower = Zero.)

Since my last post I've mostly been saving pennies, house hunting, stressing about mortgages, packing, unpacking, looking for furniture and generally settling in. This has not left much time for painting. However, I now have a spare room - which will eventually become more of a studio - that will encourage me to bloomin' well get on with it. For the time being I've managed to push aside some boxes, set up a desk, and make a Lucie sized space to work in.

So.. 2013. I won't be making any false promises on what I'll be doing, I can't cope with the guilt! But let's just say that the wheels are in motion, I'm feeling pretty eager, and I'm confident about what the New Year is bringing in. A toast? May aswell crack out the fizz..
